This port town is located about 20 minutes from Uaymitun and 30
from Progreso, making it just far enough away from the denser population
areas so that it maintains a special, slow, laid-back feeling.

Puerto: A lovely little place to be
Telchac Puerto is a picturesque little town located in the Yucatan,
Mexico, and known for its breathtaking white sand beaches and gentle
surf. Swimming here is very safe, and the Gulf very clean, making
it an excellent spot for snorkeling.

On the foundation of Telchac port, "long and extended Roots
of mangle" there are no exact data; although it arises from
the conquest, evolution is begun in 1821, when Yucatan is declared
independent of Spanish Corona.
